Therapeutic Orientation

My therapeutic approach is centered around developing a trusting relationship between client and therapist, which often translates to long term work together. I believe that who we are is deeper than simply our likes and dislikes; that we are shaped by experiences in our life, relationships we have formed and the level of safety we have felt in those relationships. I believe that that our bodies hold of these parts of our story and by integrating the mind and these somatic experiences clients can experience freedom in ways they might not have before.

My role as a therapist is to provide a safe and consistent space for clients to bring their concerns, provide reflective feedback and guidance, to be a witness to client’s stories, and to challenge maladaptive thoughts and behaviors when they arise. My role is to follow the client based on their goals for coming to therapy and support growth based on the individuals strengths.

I specialized in working with adults who have experienced early childhood trauma. I also enjoy working with individuals who have experienced religious trauma, anxiety, grief, as well as individuals who seek to improve relationships. I also have experience working with new parents who would like support in processing how their early childhood experiences impact their parenting.
